Microsoft has begun beta testing Teams chat, a brand-new tool that it will soon incorporate into Outlook.The software behemoth claims that beginning in March 2023, all users will have access to the capability.
According to The Verge, this functionality will make it simple for users to send brief messages or examine the conversation history from Outlook inside the context of a conference.
Instead of exchanging emails back and forth, this feature will allow attendees and organisers to use the chat integration to discuss a meeting in real-time.Also on the agenda for the IT behemoth’s Outlook on the web search results are Teams messages.Users may simply plan events and upload them to the community calendar so that everyone can view them. They can also quickly send messages to the group’s whole membership.
Both this function and AI-based file recommendations in Teams conversations are scheduled for release in February.
According to the source, Teams profile cards will also get an extended look in February that will provide a person’s profile, contact information, LinkedIn information, and more.
Microsoft Teams has included scheduled send, quick polling in meetings, better search results, and unread message toggles in addition to the new Outlook and Teams interface.
Microsoft introduced the “Communities” feature in its Teams video conferencing app for Android and iOS earlier this month in an effort to take on Facebook groups.
