In this blog, we will talk about creating the Datadog account and getting the API key also I can show you how to log management get started.
What is DataDog?
Datadog is a monitoring service for cloud-scale applications, providing monitoring of servers, databases, tools, and services, through a SaaS-based data analytics platform. Datadog is a monitoring and analytics tool for information technology (IT) and DevOps teams that can be used to determine performance metrics as well as event monitoring for infrastructure and cloud services. The software can monitor services such as servers, databases, and tools.
Let’s Start,
Firstly, go to the Datadog official site here. now log in or signup for the Datadog site and see the dashboard. look like my below screen.
Now Go the Integrations section -> API :
Now, you can get the Datadog API key and save it in your notes.
Datadog has so many features like,
- Agent: Get Started with the Datadog Agent.
- Datadog Application: Discover how to use Datadog UI: Dashboards, infrastructure list, maps, etc.
- Integrations: Learn how to collect metrics, traces, and logs with Datadog integrations.
- Dashboards: Create, share, and maintain dashboards that help you answer the work questions that matter to you.
- Logs: Send your first logs and use Log processing to enrich them. you can watch my blog. here.
- Tracing: Learn about tracing by setting up the Agent to trace a small application.
- Profiler: Learn about using Continuous Profiler to find and fix performance problems in your code.
- Tagging: Start tagging your metrics, logs, and traces.
- API: Get started on Datadog HTTP API.
