To make column names more readable, Aliases are used.
SQL aliases are used to give a temporary name to a table, or a column in a table. An alias only exists for the duration of the query.
Alias Column
Syntax
SELECT column1 AS alias1, column2 AS alias2, ...columnN AS aliasN FROM TABLE_NAME;
Example
The subsequent statement would create an alias name for the Title column.
SELECT Title AS T FROM Article;
Alias Table
Syntax
SELECT column_name(s) FROM TABLE_NAME AS alias_name;
Example
The subsequent statement would creates two aliases name, one for the Article table and one for the Technology table.
SELECT A.*, T.Name FROM Article AS A, Technology AS T WHERE A.TechID = T.ID;
